Every role is filtered on two things: that it is genuinely entry-level, and that someone with a strong project portfolio could credibly apply. Roles that need a specialism most people breaking in will not have yet, like embedded, hardware, or quantitative work, are left out. So are employers that gate on a specific degree or on security clearance.
